Catalyst - Institute for Creative Arts and Technology
Catalyst is a progressive and inclusive learning community in Berlin offering Bachelor’s, Master’s and short courses across music production, sound engineering, film and video production, visual effects, game design, screenwriting, acting for screen and stage, and applied creative psychology.

Our programmes are built around hands-on, practice-based learning designed to cultivate artistic identity, technical skill and professional confidence.

From January 2027, Catalyst is relocating and expanding. KALLE, our new home, is right in the heart of Neukölln and half an hour closer to the center of Berlin. We'll be building a bigger film studio, cinema, and theatre, adding new recording and production studios, and expanding our social and performance spaces. Our new campus will better support students in creating and presenting work across disciplines in professional-grade studios.
