About the School of Chemistry

The School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh is set on the beautiful King’s Buildings campus, with the £46M Nucleus building at its heart. You will receive extensive training in practical chemistry, analytical techniques, presentation skills, scientific writing and team working. With world class facilities including a new £500,000 Analytical Chemistry Instrumentation Suite as well as hosting one of the UK’s leading NMR facilities (high and low field) and Mass Spectrometry hubs, you will have access to the latest labs, services and facilities. Together we are developing the next generation of chemistry graduates, who start their own innovative businesses as well as add value to and lead established organisations through a volatile and uncertain world with confidence in their abilities and purpose in their actions.
