We are a comprehensive, research-based, globally oriented university with over 24,000 students, 3,200 staff and over 200,000 alumni worldwide. UCC has a stunning campus with the iconic River Lee flowing through it. Here, old limestone buildings blend with modern architecture. Our main campus is set on 42 acres of wooded grounds and is a mini city within a city. With over 100 societies and 50 clubs to get involved in, you will have plenty of opportunities to meet new friends and explore your interests.

Cork’s vibrant city centre is right on your doorstep and is only a 15-minute walk or 5-minute cycle away. With a huge selection of pubs, music venues, theatres, cafés, museums and restaurants, there is something for everyone. As Ireland’s foodie capital, you will be spoilt for choice with the best of local and international produce.

Cork city is a hub of culture and business and is home to over 150 multinational companies. At just over two hours to Dublin, and served by Cork Airport, we are well connected. At UCC, we are extremely proud of our long sporting tradition with our own Mardyke Sports Arena located close to campus. We offer a wide range of sports from GAA, soccer, rugby, athletics to rowing and hockey.
