My background in economics helped me realise my interest in investments as well as the broader world of finance. The ability to pursue a master’s degree at such a prestigious university – 100% online and part-time – was a game-changer for me, since I also have a full-time professional role.

There is a good pace [and it has been] a good start with the ‘General Trends in Computer Science’ module. There is an interesting selection of students with varying experience/backgrounds, and I am learning a lot from the cohort as well. There is a good balance across types of assignments – such as individual and group assessments, discussion forums, and essay writing – strong support from lecturers, and useful feedback on assignments.

I appreciated the rich diversity of the learning environment. I had the opportunity to engage with professors from varied backgrounds and collaborate with students from across the globe. This exchange of perspectives significantly enhanced my experience and broadened my outlook. The programme itself was both rigorous and rewarding, and I was continually impressed by the dedication of the student support team.

The University of Liverpool LLM International Business Law programme stood out because it equips students with advanced knowledge of international sales, cross-border insolvency restructuring, banking law and intellectual property law. The overall impression, as well as the numerous positive testimonials of some past students, confirmed my impression and conviction of the course and university.

Studying online with the University of Liverpool gave me the opportunity to balance my studies around a full-time job and family life. The added benefit was that I could progress through the programme quickly, so I managed to complete it in under a year. This was ideal for me professionally, as I needed to progress within my current teaching role.

I was drawn to mental health psychology because I wanted to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. As someone transitioning from a corporate background, I was looking for a programme that would provide me with both a solid academic foundation and a practical understanding of psychological concepts. This degree represents a new direction for me – one aligned with my values and passion for supporting others.

I chose to study the Information Systems Management MSc online with the University of Liverpool to deepen my understanding of technology and management. This programme equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to excel as a manager or academic in an information systems environment. Additionally, the University of Liverpool’s experience in delivering wholly online degrees for over 20 years reassured me of the quality and reliability of their programmes. On a personal level, it also provides the opportunity to advance my career.

The University of Liverpool offered a course that I was looking for in terms of the quality of the university on QS Rankings. Accessibility, flexibility and the quality of education informed my decision.

The University of Liverpool is a known name to many, and it has its own legacy. Searching through a variety of courses in the same domain, I found the most suitable and wonderful programme. After the first module, I am proud and happy to say that I made a very good decision.

The module content has been enriching and interesting. The learning platform is interactive, resourceful and easy to navigate through. Interactions and communications with peers, lecturers and the student support team have been frequent and endowing.

The modules are detailed and impactful. Most of the lessons are applicable to the healthcare industry. The programme has also improved my communication and technology skills among other benefits.

Before starting the Football Industries MBA, I had worked in the football industry for seven years. During that time, I gained valuable experience and insight into the operational side of the game and developed a strong interest in the wider business of football.

I decided to study an MBA because I believe you should never stop learning. After several years working in the football industry, I felt it was the right time to return to education and further develop my knowledge.

I chose the University of Liverpool Management School because of its excellent reputation and because the Football Industries MBA felt like the perfect fit. After considering several options, Liverpool stood out as the programme that best matched my interests and career goals.

I’ve enjoyed all aspects of the programme so far. The course has been very insightful and has given us the opportunity to explore areas of the football industry that are not always accessible.

The study trip to Lisbon has been a particular highlight, providing valuable insights into the international side of the game and a great experience with the rest of the cohort.

Since starting the MBA, the programme has encouraged me to think more strategically and strengthened my critical thinking skills. I’ve also significantly increased my knowledge of key areas such as football finance and marketing. These insights have been extremely valuable and are already helping me in my day-to-day role.

Balancing work, study, and family commitments was something I initially expected to be challenging, but with good planning, it has been manageable.

I set aside dedicated study time on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, as well as Sunday afternoons. Having these structured study periods helps me stay on top of the workload while balancing everything else.

The flexibility is great, isn’t restricted by time zones, and all the materials are provided online and can be accessed at any time. I found part-time distance learning worked well during my MSc previously and wanted to continue my learning journey in a similar format. The programme modules also matched the areas I was looking to learn more about, as well as the challenges I face in my day job.

Student support was the most valuable aspect of this fully online programme. The teaching and learning experiences were designed and delivered to ensure I received timely updates and a consistent positive experience. In addition to the virtual learning platform (VLE), a range of high-quality support services were available to assist me with anything I needed during my studies.

I chose this programme because it aligned with my professional background and offered the opportunity to deepen my academic understanding of digital marketing. The University of Liverpool Online stood out to me for several reasons: the relevance of the programme, the flexibility of online study, and the University’s strong global reputation and triple accreditation. It felt like the right balance of credibility, convenience, and academic quality.

I didn’t come from a statistical background at all, so I was honestly quite nervous at the start. But it’s been much more supportive than I expected. Everything builds gradually, especially with coding and stats, so you’re not just thrown in at the deep end. The staff are really patient and you can always ask questions without feeling silly, which made a huge difference for me.

One of the main reasons I selected the University of Liverpool Online was the flexibility of the programme. Being able to study online allows me to balance my professional responsibilities with academic development, without compromising the quality of learning. I also valued the international reputation of the University of Liverpool and the opportunity to study a programme that combines theory, research, and practical application.

I enjoyed the flexibility it offers as it has allowed me to continue my studies without leaving my career or disrupting my professional responsibilities. The group projects, recorded lectures, online library, student support services, and assignments have all contributed to a highly rewarding academic journey. The continuous follow-up and support provided by the online learning team have been exceptional and greatly appreciated. The overall learning experience has been excellent.

Before starting the MBA, I worked in digital marketing and content-focused roles. I loved the creative side of marketing, but I was equally interested in understanding what drives real results, engagement, leads, and business growth.

Working with different teams taught me how marketing decisions fit into the bigger business picture. I’ve also always been passionate about animal welfare, so I’m drawn to work that has real purpose.

I decided to study an MBA because I felt ready to move beyond hands-on marketing into roles requiring more strategic thinking and leadership.

After several years in digital and social media marketing across different organisations, I realised that effective marketing isn’t just about creativity, it’s about understanding the wider business context behind every decision.

For me, the MBA represented a conscious pause, a chance to reflect, upskill, and invest in myself before stepping into the next phase of my career.

I wanted to build confidence in leadership and strategy, not just for career progression, but to contribute meaningfully to organisations whose values I share.

I chose the University of Liverpool Management School because I wanted an MBA that would strengthen both my strategic mindset and practical marketing skills.

Modules like strategic marketing, innovation, and leadership development aligned perfectly with my career goals.

I’ve really enjoyed the hands-on elements of the programme. The consultancy project gave me real experience working with a UK-based client, while the VR session in Corporate Governance gave an immersive sense of boardroom dynamics.

The business simulation challenged me to think like a decision-maker, balance trade-offs, and see how strategy translates into results. Beyond the skills, the MBA has helped me grow personally. I feel more confident in my thinking, communication, and decision-making.

Working alongside such a diverse cohort has strengthened my collaboration skills and taught me to approach problems from different perspectives.

A standout guest lecture was from Mark McClennon MBE, whose insights on AI, leadership, and employability were motivating and directly relevant to my marketing career.

The Lisbon study trip was another highlight, giving me exposure to new business environments while connecting with my cohort.

The health programme here has activities across the emergency response to development continuum, from emergency flood response to strengthening health systems. I look forward to continuing to impact the population I serve through policy advocacy and health systems, strengthening especially in maternal, child, and adolescent health; and MHPSS.

I selected the University of Liverpool for several reasons. Something that stood out was the university’s prestigious reputation and outstanding history in public health education. Additionally, the University of Liverpool has long-standing connections with a diverse range of organisations, providing an invaluable opportunity for me to engage with innovative public health research and practice.

Prior to starting my MBA, I worked at a venture capital firm in Seoul, where I was responsible for sourcing and investing in high-potential startups across the Korean and Japanese markets. I also led M&A initiatives and managed a portfolio focused primarily on companies in consumer commerce, media, and energy technology.

I chose the Management School at the University of Liverpool because of its uniquely specialised Football Industry MBA, which offers a strong combination of academic rigour and industry-focused learning. What particularly stood out to me was the programme’s emphasis on the commercial, operational, and strategic aspects of the football industry, which closely aligns with the skills I aim to develop for my career transition.

In addition, the University offers well-structured scholarship opportunities, which were an important consideration for me. Liverpool also provides a safe and relatively affordable living environment, creating an ideal setting in which to focus on my academic and professional development.

One of the aspects I have enjoyed most is the opportunity to gain insights beyond the core modules through guest speakers who are actively working in the football industry. Hearing directly about their career journeys and real-world experiences has given me a much clearer and more practical understanding of the industry.

I have also particularly valued the opportunity to visit a range of stadiums across different tiers of football. These visits have allowed me to observe how clubs operate in practice and to better understand the diversity within the football ecosystem.
